LMNOP Workshop – Contract Negotiations:
Strategies and Issues for Architectural and Design Professionals

The next workshop in the LMNOP Professional Development series will cover the topic of Contract Negotiations. This workshop, which is being offered for the first time, will be presented on Tuesday, May 10th at 6-7:30pm. Mohawk, leading flooring supplier for residential and commercial applications, will host this workshop in their NY showroom located at 71 W 23rd St. on the 18th Floor.
The program will address issues designers and architects face when negotiating agreements with their clients including the pros and cons of the AIA form and other types of contract, the critical provisions for any agreement, and tactics for negotiating those agreements with your client.

• How should I hire consultants?
• How do I get paid for additional services?
• How do I handle disputes?
This session addresses these and many more issues and will welcome your questions.
The workshop will be presented by Yao Fu Bailey, a partner of MENAKER & HERRMANN LLP WWW.MHJUR.COM/ Menaker & Herrmann LLP, founded in 1983, is a full-service law firm providing advice and counsel in numerous areas which includes Construction Law and Real Estate. Their clients range from large financial institutions and corporations to individuals , manufacturers and service businesses, design and construction professionals, condominium associations, real estate developers, international businesses and individuals, and small businesses.
Ms. Bailey’s practice focuses on real estate, with a concentration in commercial leasing,
commercial and residential real property transfer, construction law, and corporate law.
Her speaking engagements have included co-presenting a seminar with Robert F.
Herrmann on “Changes to the AIA B101™-2007 Standard Form of Agreement Between
