Life in Colors
Color is the most important element one should think of when designing a space with personality. People see more than 16 million colors and find themselves inspired and drawn by certain ones. This happens because we are psychologically wired to notice and react to colors and marketers, such as Pantone and the Color Marketing Group, have built an empire on the way colors and senses work together.
Black, white and gray tones are known to be safe choices for neutral settings and elements of design. At the same time, though, top designers, artists and brands have always used bright colors as well.
The design world doesn’t have to be all black and white in order to be elegant, sophisticated and modern. Moreover, design specialists cannot deny the power colors and the way they make people feel uplifted and happy.
So, instead of choosing tame shades, step aside and let colors gain ground and you will not only see, but also feel the difference. You will learn that colors affect and express our everyday lives, even when we are too busy to notice their effects. They have such strong personalities, influencing our state of mind and spirit in so many wonderful ways: they are energetic and cheerful, shiny and optimistic, safe and calming, relaxing and meditative, sensual and mysterious, luxurious and vivid and bearers of meanings that stimulate our subconscious.
Fortunately, over the past years there has been an increased use of colors. People are getting more and more confident in defining personal and individual styles, enabling designers to implement colors within architecture, interior design, art elements and installations, as well as product design. The outcome? A fun, funky and incredibly fashionable explosion of colors.
Newsflash: Hindu people celebrate the existence of colors within a festival named Holi, that associates colors with the triumph of good over evil.
